A Ferocious OTF Knife
The TAKCOM Barracuda design was inspired by the creature itself, which is known for its fearsome appearance and ferocious behavior. The TAKCOM BARRACUDA deploys fully at 7.76 inches and weighs 2.8oz.
The visual design inlaid in the handle allows for easy blending in any element outside of your hand from fabric to brush. Textured only where needed, the TAKCOM Barracuda handle has a simplified grip matched with T6 Hard Anodized T6061 aircraft aluminum, giving you both functionality and strength needed for whatever comes your way. The TAKCOM Barracuda blade measures at 3.58 inches and comes in Wharncliffe and Double Edge. Both blade shapes are designed for piercing and slicing and are made out of Magnacut blade steel. Carrying the Barracuda gives you the assist when hunting, fishing, and working, enabling you to become like the Barracuda. Always the predator and never the prey.

I am very happy with this knife. The blade has very little play. Barely any at all. Feels like quality construction. The tolerances are tight. I don’t know how the blade is so quick and responsive when opening but disengages if an object is in the way. I would buy this knife again.

THE BARRACUDA KNIFE SEEMS INDESTRUCTIBLE! This knife is really light in the hand considering the durable material it is made of. The fit and finish are superb, and the action is solid. The UPS Package containing this knife was ran over by a truck and the case and knife are still intact (see pic). This is a great knife at this price point. You would be hard pressed to find one better than this.

So far I am very pleased with my Barracuda Pro. The knife is quick and reliable to both deploy and retract. It has been great at the things I have needed to cut so far.
In my less that humble opinion, many people do not give enough though to their knife being easy and reliable to close, perhaps they don’t have years spent hanging on to a boat with one hand while using a knife in their remaining hand or working accident scenes where once you are done cutting getting the knife quickly closed means one less hazard to deal with. Nothing beats a double action OTF at closing quickly.
One of the ways that I judge a knife is to ask, “If this one disappeared would I replace it with the same thing?”. I’d be ordering another one just like this immediately!

First of all this is my 20th knife from TK and I’m very happy with everyone of them. The Barracuda is a nice high quality knife, it has a good strong action and a tight lock up, there is no blade play, pretty damn sharp and the dagger blade is nice but I wish it would come in a drop point blade. The knife has nothing negative about it, it’s a 10/10. Thanks TK!

WHAT A GREAT KNIFE! This is my 4th knife from TacKnives but it’s also my 1st “TK PRO” knife. The knife is everything the name “Barracuda” brings to mind such as sleekness, speed, aggressiveness as well as style. In very short order this knife has become my EDC knife. I love the size, not too big nor not too small… it’s just right! I don’t know how many times I’ve engaged & retracted the blade but it seems to just get better & better. If it wasn’t rock solid it would never be in my pocket. Fortunately that’s where it’s at and where it will stay. Let me also say that the folks at TacKnives are just as solid as the knives they build.

This barracuda is all and all hands down the perfect pocket otf. Hardly any wiggle and the perfect weight that you forget it while pocketed but know it’s there when using. D2 blade, enough said besides possibly giving one with serrated. Price is well worth upgrading to pro series and know I’ll buy nothing but. I have owned other OTF knives. Including Microtechs. This knife is as good as any I have ever owned. My Tacknives pro might be the best knife I have ever bought for the money. The action is strong both ways and the blade is beautiful. The size is perfect for edc as it does not take up too much space in the pocket and is very light. Excellent product!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this OTF. Would put it up there with the likes of the Gerber and Benchmade and just below of the leaders like MicroTech and Guardian Tactial.
The aluminum body and carbon fiber inlays make the knife very light weight and you hardly know you have it in your pocket. Action is right up there with the best OTF with a very positive open and close. Blade has a tight lockup with almost no play. Clip in ambidextrous with great in and out of the pocket. Button gives great feedback when opening an closing without any sharp edges to irritate your finger. Very fidgety. Full 4 finger grip with my XL glove hands with plenty of room to adjust my grip for different angles.
Overall this is a great premium OTF and compares to OTF 5x-6x its price. I will definitely be exploring additional variations of these premium Tacknife OTFs for my new EDC. Pictures show next to an Olight Arkfield for size comparison.

I love this otf knife. I recently lost my microtech ultratech knife on a Bear/Elk Hunt and couldn’t justify spending another $350 to replace it. After weeks of research, I finally found the most compatible otf knife to my lost ultratech. In fact, this is actually a little better as it weighs less, has a little better and consistent action, and has no blade wiggle compared to the ultratech. Has the same D2 blade, so for 1/3 the price it will be my new ‘go to’ edc.

I really enjoy this OTF, and I think it’s great for the price. This is my first OTF I have ever owned, so I’m just figuring out what my preferences are thus here are my thoughts.
Packaging: the knife shipped in a plastic case I would refer to as a “pelican case” because it’s the closest equivalent I can think of. I definitely give TacKnives props for good packaging on their higher end knives.
Action: the knife is smooth and fast on the extension, with no noticeable twang of the mechanism and minimal play when extended. Super sharp out of the box, and fun to use.
Design: well sized for the average man’s hand, with a good profile and pocket clip. Being a double sided blade I have concerns about my thumb sliding off of the switch and onto the blade at some point. Also, the carbon fiber decal on the grip is slick, but offers no aid to grip of the knife.
Overall this is a good design/style but it has pointed me toward what I’d like to see. Id like to see a high end otf from TacKnives with a switch on the side of the grip rather than on the frame, rubberized texture where the carbon fiber decal sits (refer to the Kershaw Blur for what I’m thinking), and a blacked out blade. I think a good quality Blade and these features and at this price point would sell like hotcakes.

The Boker next to it feels like a toy next to the TK Pro . The action is solid with almost no blade play. It even sounds more solid.

Well I’d have to say I am impressed! Excellent knife for the price. I have a Microtech Ultratech that I compared it to. Opening and closing is about the same as far as power. It is easier to deploy the tacknife and less aggressive on your thumb. The button has zero movement on tacknife and the ultratech has movement and you can hear it. The tacknife actually has less blade play which surprised me. Both are fantastic knives. I do like the ultratech better as it feels better and more quality. I think TK pro series is well worth it. I will be getting a few more in the pro line up.
